Healing starts with being heard.

Why don’t we talk about grief?

Because it’s uncomfortable.
Because it’s messy.
Because no one taught us how.

When loss hits, life as we know it changes, and so do we – emotionally, mentally, and physically.

As time passes, we often feel pressured to “move on,” even when our hearts aren’t ready.

Spoiler alert: Grief never goes away. It lives within us.

However, once we’re made to feel safe enough to reveal the depths of our grief, we can start to heal.

There is no grief like the grief that does not speak.
— Henry Wadsworth

Grief is heavy. You don’t have to carry it alone anymore.

As your grief ally, I offer compassionate coaching:

Validation - Your emotions and experiences will be fully acknowledged, without judgment.

Connection - Through deep listening, we’ll create a space of safety and trust.

Empowerment - With gentle guidance, you’ll learn to carry your grief with care and intention.

I’m Nicole, and I know grief intimately.

Losing my sister to COVID-19, my father many years before, and facing a breast cancer diagnosis of my own taught me what so many of us learn the hard way: time is precious, not promised.

And healing? It doesn’t just happen. It takes courage, effort, and support to address what hurts.

I help others find their voice to express their grief and navigate the healing process at their own pace.

As a certified grief coach (trained through the ICF-accredited From Grief to Gratitude program) and your grief ally, I provide a safe place for you to land, be heard, and begin to rediscover meaning and purpose.

I’ve got you.

Side note: As an Indo-Caribbean woman living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I celebrate diversity and offer culturally sensitive, deeply compassionate support.

Grief Coaching FAQs

  • As a trained support partner, a grief coach can help you navigate the complex emotions and challenges associated with grief and loss. As your grief ally, I will listen without judgment and provide guidance as you adjust to this new, different normal.

Note: A grief coach does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions – those specialties are reserved for a grief counselor or therapist.

  • I support clients through the death of a loved one or a beloved animal companion. (I am a serial senior dog adopter who has lost several fur babies in the past few years #AdoptDontShop.)

If you find yourself struggling with anticipatory grief, perhaps because your loved one has a terminal illness, I can also help you navigate this.

  • All of our sessions are one-on-one and guided by your unique grief experience. I recognize that there is no one way to grieve, so I promise I’ll meet you exactly where you are, actively listen, and share practical tools to help you honor your loved one and advance your healing.

  • The one-off session is a good introduction to grief coaching, the four-week program is helpful if you’ve recently suffered a loss, and the eight-week program offers an empowering grief coaching experience.
